Rednote

Up-and-coming Leeds producer, Rednote, has been honing his efficacy for production after first catching wind of dubstep at age 16, Rednote began garnering strong influences for his own sound from reputable scene heavy hitters like Skream, The Widdler, Kahn and Commodo. Not limited to the confines of the dubstep genre and always striving to experiment with various sounds, Rednote draws from a wide range of influences to concoct his unique, bass heavy style, as his taste ranges from dub, techno and UK bass to grime, house, jazz and hip-hop. Having already released on platforms like Duploc, Fatkidonfire and Sublimated Sounds and provided opening support for acts like EL-B, Nomine, LSN, Brunks, Versa, Sepia and Hypho, Rednote continues to gain traction within the underground scene.

Rednote’s latest release, his electrifying, five-track Five Suns EP on Dubtastic sees the valiant return of the budding artist to the Belgian record label since his 2013 release with the imprint entitled Skeptics. Each of Five Suns’ tracks provide five diverse sonic journeys while adding up to one cohesive and impactful collection. Heeding influences from world music, dub, reggae, eclectic house, electro, and dubstep, Five Suns is an explosive EP suited for an array of music lovers while simultaneously remaining heavily situated within the underground dubstep spectrum.
